Kerala’s Youth, Sujay Seemesh Wins Gold at German Grappling Championship

Regensburg, Germany: Kerala’s martial arts athlete Sujay has achieved a proud milestone by winning the gold medal at a grappling championship held in Germany.

Sujay, the son of Seemesh, delivered an impressive performance in the competition to secure the gold medal. He is the grandson of Shashidharan, who belongs to the Plavila Melathil family in Kottiyam, Kollam district, Kerala.

The 20-year-old Sujay is an accomplished martial artist with considerable experience in the field. He trains at the Fight Fusion Academy in Regensburg, Germany, and has an impressive record of 5 wins and 1 loss in amateur Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) competitions.

Major Achievements

* BJJ Purple Belt holder: Sujay has achieved the purple belt rank in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ).
* ADCC German Champion: He has won the German championship under the ADCC grappling competition system.
* ADCC West European Champion: He has also earned the West European championship title.
* Over 20 BJJ Gold Medals: He has won more than 20 gold medals in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitions held across Europe.
* Strong Wrestling Skills: He has developed considerable expertise in wrestling.
* Muay Thai and Striking: He also has training and experience in Muay Thai and striking techniques.

Competing in the approximately 58 kg weight category, Sujay has reached these milestones through hard work, dedication and discipline.

His first-place finish at the German Grappling Championship has brought pride to his hometown, the Malayali community and his family. Congratulations have been pouring in from various quarters following his achievement.
