IMF’s Bloody Betrayal: $2.3 Billion Handed to Terroristan – A Slap on India’s Face
In what can only be described as a shocking betrayal to global peace and security, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has once again chosen to fund a terror-breeding, instability-spreading nation—Pakistan. Despite India providing mountain loads of proof of Pakistan’s involvement in terrorism, cross-border attacks, and terror financing, the IMF Executive Board has approved a massive 2.3 billion dollar bailout for Pakistan. This decision was backed by powerful countries like the United States, China, Japan, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom.
Let this sink in: countries who lecture the world about fighting terror have joined hands to pump oxygen into Pakistan’s sinking economy, knowing fully well that this will indirectly feed its military establishment and its terror machinery.
Who voted for Pakistan? And Why?
Out of the 24 executive directors of IMF, most voted in favor of the package. The heavyweights—US, China, UK, Germany, France, and Japan—all stood solidly behind Pakistan, showing no concern for the terror activities it sponsors. India, holding a small voting share, abstained from voting. But abstaining is not enough—this was a moment to roar, not whisper.
👉 India abstained from the IMF vote on approving the loan to Pakistan not because it supported the move, but because the IMF’s voting system doesn’t allow a formal ‘no’ vote. Under IMF rules, countries can either vote in favor or abstain—there is no option to vote against. Therefore, abstaining was the only way for India to register its opposition.
These countries claim they want “stability” in the region. But whose stability are they talking about? Stability of a nation whose military continues to nurture groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen? Stability of a country that harbors the masterminds of 26/11, Pulwama, and countless attacks on Indian soil?
The truth is, this money is not about stabilizing Pakistan—it’s about keeping it afloat as a puppet of larger geopolitical games.
Why did IMF approve despite terror proofs?
India has time and again submitted proofs—dossiers after dossiers, FATF submissions, video evidence, global testimonies, US Congressional reports, UN findings—all pointing towards Pakistan’s direct and indirect support to terrorism. Yet, IMF washed its hands off, claiming the package is for “economic stability” and “humanitarian support.”
Let’s not kid ourselves—this is not ignorance; this is deliberate blindness. The same blindness that allowed Pakistan to receive 28 IMF loans in the last 35 years, with no real economic reform. Each time, the money went down the drain—or worse, into military accounts, into terrorist paychecks, into madrassa brainwashing factories, into weapons aimed at India.
Where will this money go now?
Let’s be brutally honest: Pakistan’s civilian government is a puppet. The army pulls the strings. The ISI controls the shadow economy. This new 2.3 billion dollar package will once again go into propping up the military, paying off debt interest to China, keeping military projects alive, and strengthening terror infrastructure in PoK and beyond.
History is proof. The last bailout helped Pakistan stabilize its forex reserves long enough to import weapons, buy drones from Turkey and China, fund proxy groups in Afghanistan and Kashmir, and keep its military salaries paid. Is anyone naive enough to think this package will go into building schools, hospitals, or industries?
How much money has Pakistan received earlier?
Let’s not forget—since its birth in 1947, Pakistan has received over 30 billion dollars from IMF alone. Add World Bank, ADB, bilateral loans, Chinese debts—Pakistan is sitting on over 130 billion dollars in external debt. And what’s to show for it? A failed economy, inflation at 40 percent, IMF repayments overdue, foreign reserves barely covering two weeks of imports.
This country is a blackhole sucking global funds with zero accountability. Yet the international community keeps refueling it, ignoring its role as the global terror factory.
Who are India’s real friends?
Now is the time for India to open its eyes. When countries like US, UK, France, Germany, Japan stood up to defend Pakistan’s bailout, despite India’s repeated warnings, despite the blood of Indian soldiers spilled by Pakistani-backed terrorists—can we call them friends?
Let’s remember this when we sign defense deals. Let’s remember this when we open markets. Let’s remember this when we go begging for global alliances. Friends don’t fund your enemy’s terror factory.
In contrast, nations like Israel publicly stood by India’s right to defend itself against terror. Some Eastern European countries, Greece, and Cyprus raised questions over Pakistan’s misuse of IMF funds in closed-door meetings. But their voices were too weak to stop the machine.
Why can’t India block this funding?
India’s IMF voting power is small. But that’s not the only reason. India lacks a strong lobbying presence in these multilateral bodies. It still plays defensive diplomacy while Pakistan plays dirty games. India submits proofs; Pakistan simply denies and uses geopolitical leverage.
IMF claims it tracks fund usage. But no one dares enter the opaque, army-controlled financial system of Pakistan. Every Indian knows this money will feed new terror camps, payoffs to militant leaders, smuggling routes, arms imports. But IMF will turn a blind eye until the next bailout.
What should India do now?
This is a wake-up call. India must:
- Strengthen its global lobbying to expose Pakistan’s misuse of funds at every international forum.
- Create a financial watchdog group of friendly nations to track IMF, World Bank, ADB disbursements to terror-linked states.
- Reduce dependency on nations who fund Pakistan—look towards strengthening ties with countries who truly align with India’s security concerns.
- Launch an aggressive international campaign showcasing Pakistan’s terror economy, its military’s iron grip, and the diversion of funds under the civilian façade.
- Name and shame the countries that voted to fund terror indirectly.
A Betrayal That India Cannot Forget
The approval of this 2.3 billion dollar package is not just an economic decision—it is a geopolitical betrayal. It is a stab in India’s back by the very nations who preach counter-terrorism from world stages.
Pakistan will now have fresh funds to rebuild terror launchpads, to finance infiltration, to spread fake narratives globally, to buy international silence.
India must learn from this IMF betrayal under the shadow of Operation Sindoor. In this time of heightened tension and sacrifice, when Indian soldiers are dying defending our borders, when civilians are targeted in Pehalgam, when terror attacks are shaking Kashmir—the world has chosen to refill the coffers of the terror state.
This is no time for diplomatic silence. This is the time to raise our voice. To declare to the world:
“You have funded the bullets that kill our sons. Don’t pretend to stand with us tomorrow when we bury them.”
India must now rise stronger, bolder, and wiser. The world has shown who its real friends are—and who are its silent enemies hiding behind economic diplomacy. Let us never forget this moment.
Jai Hind.
