From DreamFriendZ.com to Handlooom.com: The Hilarious Journey of an Entrepreneur
Embarking on the rollercoaster ride of entrepreneurship is no easy feat, but it’s a journey filled with thrilling twists, daring loops, and even the occasional crash. Today, we’ll take you on a rib-tickling adventure through the business ventures of mine who ventured into the digital realm with DreamFriendZ.com and faced ups and downs that could rival a comedy show. This hilarious and inspiring story is a must-read for all aspiring and current entrepreneurs, looking to conquer the business world with a chuckle!
2006: The Comedy Show Begins with DreamFriendZ.com
In the year 2006, our protagonist donned the entrepreneur’s hat and launched DreamFriendZ.com – an Indian dating & friendship website ready to conquer the hearts of the lovelorn. It was the same year when Facebook was launched to public, which was till then limited to Harvard students. The website found its fortune through Google Adsense, and the entrepreneur felt on top of the world, floating on cloud nine. Alas! Just when they thought they were cruising smoothly, Google Adsense pulled the plug, leaving our entrepreneur in a hosting charge nightmare. With a heavy heart, DreamFriendZ.com had to bid adieu.
2008: The Laughter Continues with HashBush.com
In 2008, our entrepreneur couldn’t resist the temptation to dive back into the social networking world with HashBush.com. This website was meant for friends and family to socialize, and like any good circus act, it had to include earning options too. The plan was simple – put up ads and reap the returns. What could possibly go wrong? Well, a lot, apparently.
As luck would have it, the website struggled to attract ads from companies. It was as if the ad companies decided to play a hilarious prank on them. With no ads in sight and the memory of the banishment of Google Adsense from their previous venture, DreamFriendZ.com, our entrepreneur found themselves in a bit of a pickle. They had no magical Adsense wand to summon earnings.
And so, as fate would have it, HashBush.com met its comedic demise, leaving the entrepreneur scratching their head in bewilderment. But hey, in the grand theater of entrepreneurship, not every act can be a blockbuster!
2012: The Socializing Shenanigans
Not one to be easily discouraged, our entrepreneur bounced back in 2012 with the launch of EarningPals.com, a social networking platform with a twist. This time, they offered a revenue share model, where members could make some dough through website activities. Picture it – people sharing cat videos and earning a buck! It seemed like a recipe for success. But the members made money ,not the entrepreneur. So it also faded slowly.
2013: The Web Designing Circus
With an appetite for more ventures, our entrepreneur opened the curtains to SuperWebsiteDesigns.com in 2013. It was a one-stop-shop for all web design, development, and app development needs. They juggled projects and danced through coding challenges while delivering stunning websites. The show was a hit, and applause echoed from every corner. But later many competitors came and everyone started web development business, so I took a backstage looking for grabbing the next opportunity.
2014: The Traffic Reselling Extravaganza
In 2014, our entrepreneur pulled off a jaw-dropping stunt by launching Traffic-reseller.com. Normal Web Traffic, Alexa rankings Traffic, and providing Business leads – they had it all! And boy, did the business rake in the moolah. Sales soared, climbing up to a mind-boggling 50k INR to 100k INR per day. The secret? Selling website traffic through various channels, turning websites into busy intersections.
2015: The Digital Solutions Spectacle
In 2015, our entrepreneur set the stage for AdvanceDigitalSolutions.com, offering a full suite of services to tackle digital challenges. Social media marketing, web traffic, email marketing, lead generation, and top-notch website design and development – they had the audience eating out of their hands!
2016: The Networking Circus Continues
The show must go on, and so it did in 2016 with the launch of ReferEntrepreneurs.com. Entrepreneurs from all over joined the act, socializing and growing their businesses together. The revenue share model kept the money bags jingling, and the website’s hilarious membership options left everyone in stitches. The laughter never stopped! This website is still active and working on revamping it when I get some time for it.
2019: Laughter Riot’s another new brand launched : DMZ INTERNATIONAL
In 2019, our entrepreneur tried their hand at selling automotive accessories on market places like Amazon & Flipkart with launching a new brand DMZ INTERNATIONAL. Little did they know that a global pandemic was waiting to steal the spotlight. Covid-19 wreaked havoc on imported products, and our protagonist found themselves at a crossroads in importing products from China. A pivot was needed, and the show had to go on!
2020: The Grand Finale Twist: New brands launched during Pandemic Lockdown: Handlooom.com & savehandloom.org
With a hearty laugh and a stroke of genius, the entrepreneur shifted gears in 2020, introducing handlooom.com. Showcasing handloom products from skilled Indian weavers and artisans, this act was a heartwarming tribute to Indian craftsmanship. They juggled marketplaces like Amazon, Flipkart, and JioMart, giving a standing ovation to their versatility. This is the current business and new brands other than handlooom.com which also supports sustainability is going to be launched soon in the fashion industry.
From the highs of DreamFriendZ.com to the twists and turns of Traffic-reseller.com, and the heartwarming finale of handlooom.com, this entrepreneur’s journey is nothing short of a sidesplitting comedy.
