From Eggs to Eagles, Crocs & Turtles… Life Happens!

- - Advice

In the dusty corridors of our childhood schools, life was simple.
We were eggs — raw, full of possibilities, fragile yet full of life.
Dressed in crisp white uniforms, sharing tiffins and textbooks, we had no labels. No filters. No egos. Just dreams.

We stood on common ground — the same classrooms, the same chalk dust, the same mischief.
There was no CEO, no artist, no wanderer, no struggler, no billionaire, no broken heart.
Only kids, chasing butterflies, bunking maths, and believing life was an endless summer holiday.

But time, that gentle sculptor, had other plans.

The Transformation Begins…

Fast forward two decades —
Some of us became eagles, soaring through corporate skies or creative fields, eyes sharp with ambition, wings wide with success.
Some became turtles, moving slowly but surely — grounded, steady, content in their pace, building peaceful lives brick by brick.
A few turned into crocodiles, not in a negative sense, but as survivors — thick-skinned, resilient, unshaken by storms or setbacks.

And many of us, truth be told, are still evolving.
Still learning how to fly, crawl, or survive.

Some found love early, some still swipe right.
Some made it to the Forbes list, others just made it through depression.
Some live in penthouses, others rent their peace in hill stations.
Some are fathers, mothers, some still figuring out their “why.”

Yet in a school reunion — none of it matters.

Because once again, we are all eggs
Joking about the same old teachers.
Revisiting the canteen fights.
Laughing like we did before life added filters and followers.

What Life Teaches Us

Life isn’t a race. It’s a metamorphosis.
From those identical white uniforms, we hatched into radically different beings.
Our paths diverged. Our battles varied.
But what unites us is this: we began at the same place — together.

Every eagle was once an egg.
Every turtle took the same first step.
Every crocodile once cried on the first day of school.

So whether life made you fly, crawl, or fight…
Honor the egg. That pure version of you — fearless, limitless, and real.

Here’s the perspective:

  • Success isn’t just titles or travels. It’s who you’ve become along the way.
  • Reunions are not for comparison, but for connection.
  • Growth doesn’t always look like a promotion. Sometimes, it’s healing. Sometimes, it’s peace.

In a world that pushes you to be “more”, remember that just being is enough sometimes.

Final Thought:

Time changes everything — our appearance, our ambitions, our roles.
But it cannot change where we come from.

So next time you meet an old friend, don’t ask what they do.
Ask how they are.
Ask what they miss.
Ask what still makes them laugh like a child.

Because we’re all on the same journey — from eggs to everything.
